Early Design & Reconceptualization
The logo is a recontextualization of a previous project centered on creating a flag for Springwood, a neighborhood in Victoria, Texas. The original flag design is shown below.
Springwood is an affluent neighborhood. The lotus flower is a powerful symbol of wealth and prosperity, which I believed reflected the neighborhood very well. I took the lotus flower from my flag design, altered the design a bit, and removed the Springwood initials to create Lotuxe. The lotus flower became the symbol for Lotuxe as it is subtle yet has a sense of luxury and rarity. Perfect for a brand that focuses on subtle luxury.
